Purified Terephthalic Acid is consumed mainly in the production of Polyester fibers, Polyester films that is used in the manufacturing of tapes, data storage tapes, photographic films, labels and other sheet material. It is also used as a raw material in manufacturing of some types of drugs. PTA is considered as a raw material for production of polyesters used in fabrication of powder and water-soluble coatings.
